which would be quicker a l reg 1.2 8v or a w reg 1.2 ecotec 16v

yeah its like 42bhp to 75 or so... its a noticeable difference lets put it like that

8v is 45bhp, 16v is 65bhp

go on peformance stats above and type in corsa. 1.2 16v is over 4 seconds faster getting to 60 and with double the valves it will go faster. Even 1.0 12v is better than the 1.2 8v 4 acceleration.

actually, the 1.0 12v and 1.2 8v are equally as slow.

and 16v should be about 6 seconds faster to 60

1.2 16v corsa b's came with 65bhp from september 1998 till sometime in 1999, then they came with 75bhp from then on. corsa c 1.2 16v's also have 75 bhp.
i think it was the time when the sxi badges changed from blue to red that the engines changed too.
(anyone who wants to dispute this please do so because i have the rolling road printout of my 2000 X reg 1.2 16v corsa B with 75 bhp!)
