Picked it up last night, guy only wanted £50. Its got an almost new gearbox on it and runs ok. Has no ECU though. I'm gonna rebuild it anyway and i'm in no rush to put it in. Is this one the C20XE??

looks like you have the ATE callipers and 256mm discs as well. Good buy

rebuild it before fitting, will save plenty of hassle in the long run.....

not sure on the miles, thats why i'll rebuild it to make sure, nothing worse than doing the whole conversion and then realizing you have a knackered engine!

my mate works at a garage in thatcham and the guy who owns the garage had the astra Gsi and i think it got written off so he took the engine out and then i brought it
