Might sound like a bit of a pussy here but i'm having doubts about my car

I should be selling the astra soon and my next car was going to be a M reg Classic WRX that i have lined up.Insurance is harsh but livable but i just there's just no-one around were i live who can service it for me.

I know they are excellent if looked after and i will look after it like i do all my other cars but i just have a funny feeling about getting one Petrol ain't really an issue either as i only work a mile away and i will be usuing my bike in the summer anyway.

This is my dream car though (apart from a 360 CS ) and i just don't want to buy one and it's fuked from the start!

Plus my GF said that i might not ever have anything as quick again and she is right in a way! I mean 260 brake is one thing but 0-60 in about 4.9 is getting to super car performance for very little cash. But then again that's the reason why i want one

Other choices are...and this took me a while to think of...

BMW 328i coupe...To executivy? (my word LOL )
Golf MK3 VR6....Not quick enough?
Civic VTI...Not quick enough?? Potential to mod though!
Corrado VR6...Hard to find a decent one.

I suppose you only live once though eh!

When you say service what do you mean??? Subaru service - forget that! - Just change the engine oil every 6 months and gearbox/Diff Oil every year and it will be fine!

Buy the oil online and take it to wherevers close!

Yu'll get used to the power - you always do. Then it won't be quite the dream car you thought it was. If you're reasonably happy with the Astra, keep it

I hear what your saying there Jake...I used to go to the local pug garage were they had a new R reg black 106 GTI in black on the forcourt.I went there all the time telling myself i would own one one day! Then i bought a mint Y reg one in black last year and it wasn't what i expected at all

Andy speaking from experience there eh mate I'm getting rid of the astra because it's not quick enough so i won't be keeping it.I feel the need for speed again.

You think that would be OK Colin??

Have you drove a scooby yet Alan??? I think you should

Yes Im not going to bother servicing mine - so far ive changed coil packs and water/radiator anyway so theres not much more to do anyway!. Oil must be changed every 6 months/6000 miles tho!

No way col If i drove one that would be it! Would have to have one then.

I went to an importeres and sat in a load of cars and the scooby just felt perfect Was the only car i felt like i could actually drive away in that second and be happy.

Cheers Mav

get the scooby, seeing as you'l be doing only 10 miles a week to get to and from work and a service on a scooby is what every 5k? and your using the bike in the summer aswell which will keep the running costs down, 328i coupe would bein the summer but unless you get a sport then its no LSD,sport suspension and m-tech body styling and a decent 328isport is going to be 8k + and will have no chance in keeping up with a wrx, think ive made it clear what my choice would be

That's something i mentioned to a 20 year old mate of mine who drives a 400bhp Supra a few weeks ago..

I said to him "Your gonna be gutted when you need a new car because you'll never get anything like that ever again"..

His smile soon changed direction.. "Never thought about that" he replied..
