I am just about to change my engine from a 1.0 12v to a 1.4 16v.

Is a 1.4 16v alot faster than my 1.0 12v?

if your gonna swap engines, don't get any lower than 1.6 unless you got that 1.4 for a good price. i'm sure you have your reasons.

Yes, its quicker. But still slow as l33 said

1,4 has 90 bhp only 20 less then the 1.6 and it can be a big jump on insurance.. if i were you i would get another years NCB and then go 1.8 or 2.0

U will find a 1.4 rapid to your 12volt... i went from 1 12 8v to a 1.4 sport and it felt really quick, but that feels slow to what i have now...

I have been driving around in my brother's V6 Cav for a few days, going from a 170bhp car to a 90bhp car (1.4 16v Astra) is so crap!

I don't really like Cavaliers to be honest, I just liked the engine power. Poor man's Beemer!

I cant believe you just called a V6 cav a poor mans beemer the V6 cav's are proper street sleepers, my mate had his V6 stock for a while & pished over a few BMW's & merc's in his time...
