Just had a 3.5 inch round stainless steel custom made back box put on my corsa sport. £150? Is that an average price? Anyways - asked them to make it as quiet as possible - but it's bloody loud! Is there anything they can do to soften the sound a little? On the plus side the car is driving much better now, probably the old box was on its last legs for a while. I'll get pics up tomorrow, personally I think 3.5 inch round really suits the car.

Performance back boxes do not have baffles in, hence the noise, and the performance (baffles decrease gas flow as act as resistance). To quieten it down......erm, shove a sock in it!
