I went to the local car place and they wanted £180 just for the kit!!! Rollers tensioners etc

Just been quoted £200 at 2 garages that i have used before and are generally cheap

thought all the Eco-wrecks used timing chains not belts? Could go someway to explaining why its so expensive!

On the other hand I think the chains have a lifetime of over 100k miles!

get the parts from LMF vauxhall. as for fitting no more than £100

Nah i assume they are belts cos they need to be done every 40K on the car

chains are the 2.2...early ones prone to breaking taking the engine with them
