Did you not remove the rubber on the doors? Also not sure if you've heard of something called trim tape but its good for the rubber on the boot window, it pushes behind it and then sticks against the glass pulling the rubber back so paint can get behind it

loads of orange peel, wont make ne difference when/if he flattens it

Yes in garage - and yes doing it myself...

The paintwork on the bonnet isn't great, but aint been done properly yet, thats just the first coat of black..Got another two coats and then a coat of laquer...It will be fine once T-cut and Polished up...



It came out fine last time I did it (front wing) with no orange peel e.t.c.

look at ur paintwork on a factory finish car is orange peeley as fuck,a good paintjob shud match the factory finish not be glass,the only flatting shud be to take any nibs out not the orange peel

Think thats a compliment...

I agree though - most factory cars are very orange peely..I just trying to make the best out of what I got - and I like it... Should sell OK...

is it just a standard black colour, no metalic, u dont need laquer if it is i didnt think its just stright 2pac paint if it vaux black!

u can get rid of orange peel by flatting back and polich just takes time!

good on u having a go your self mate! good to c some diy going on in corsa sport, always the best posts these for me

pmsl if i bought a new car with the bonnet spray job like that, id unscrew the bonnet and go and wrap it round the sales man head

a sprayed that with a tin,was orange peely.flattened it with 1200 then 1500 wet,then rubbed it with rubbing compound then super resin polish.that has no laquer thats just gloss black
