to swap doors and boot panels over from one car to another? Are they a bitch to get hanging right or is it pretty much a straight swap? What other tools will i need apart from spanners and socket set, cos thats pretty much all i will have with me

Doors are easy but you will need someone else to help you!
The hinges just knock out so you will need a small hammer
As for the boot in not sure but they have got to be changable easily really!

Easy pins and check strap on the door - lining up is the hard bit
The boot very easy but make sure there is someone else supporting it - they are very heavy with no lifters on.

Wiring in the boot might be a bit of a problem, the loom doesn't clip out like it does on the doors.
And yes, they're all surprisingly heavy.

dont be fooled by how easy it looks to get the doors off . you can buy a special tool to get the pins out.

Very true mate... pain in the arse without the proper tool. If you can find some1 with a hinge pin tool its easy as. As for the refit... maybe some slight adjustment of the lock mech height etc... again very simple.
Bootlid easy to remove and refit...
Both are abit footery with the wiring, but nothing major.
best have a couple of mates handy as the doors are heavy and fitting the boot is tricky to avoid scratching paintwork...
