What is recommended to help traction......... without changing to 4WD or summit on those lines.

Iv seen this "LSD" word or whateva in few posts. What does it stand for? :s
More weight over from wheels? How can u manage that, no room left in engine bay or nowt.. :s lay few bricks on bonnet i guess

hehe, cheers. currently reading a site about Limited Slip Differential . I know FA about cars let alone anything else. reading through some of this i thought the wheels already got an even amount of power given to them.... thought when wheels spun was both not just the 1, or is it just on cornering.

A quaife ATB (automatic torque biasing) diff is the ebst troad use one to go with.
You'll be lookign at around 500 for ti then another 100 to have it fitted.
Softer springs, more dampening is the way to go on sus.

I was thinking, if the rear suspension was, to take an extreme, solid, the front wouldnt lift up so much as the back wouldnt drop under heavy acceleration, so the front wheels would have more force keeping them down onto the road surface, am I working along some right lines with this?
Also, on a LET the driveshafts are of different lengths, the shorter one will spin faster.

Your theoretically correct! Only problem would be with it being fwd the engine would dip forward with twist, but your comment would work a treat on a rwd car.

Again your showing your a bright star less surfrace area, more shock is concentrated in less amount of space, but I don't think an LSD would help this, more of a problem for his driving technique to sort out.

Although I do think forums are LSD crazy, stick em on a rally track and they'll realise what they were made for.

Plate diffs yeah, quaife ATB's suck ass for racing.
you can easily get equal length shafts and put them in to reduce torque steer, but doens't really affect over all traction,

when i had my let, i never had much of an issue in the dry/damp
i had no lsd, i also had 15" mo's but the secret was the tyres i had the shittyest tyres going but they were sh@t hot i got the 13.7 with the above in the dampist

Equal length shaft will mean when it spins, the car will keep going in a straight line at least...
Best thing for traction is learn how to control your right foot...
You can drive around traction problems most of the time in the dry, it can be a fine art...
