Well finally got started on the astra

Got all the pipes off radiator out, battery out bla bla

got the head off inlet manifold off and turbo is off!

gona do the block and the gearbox 2moro..
dont have a crane at the moment so doing it bit by bit!

Should have the crane on friday car should be running by saturday night if all goes to plan
il need to get andy to bring his camera down 2moro night for some progress pics

got almost 2 LET engines in my boot now the astra is dropped on its arse

Well 2nite i went out to discover i dont have a 32mm long enough to get to the castle nut so will have to get one 2moro before i can get the shafts off

built the other inlet manifold up, couple of pipes

got the turbo off the head ready to go on the other block

got the power steering pump off as well, basically need the gearbox and block out now then i can move onto the next stadge of this conversion..

So far so good

and cheers to colour-tec for my 1st mod clear side repeaters and thats my only and last body mod

well 2day was mega wet

got the engine in though
musta had the worst balljoints ever.. they were solid

had a few hiccups today such as snapped bolts in the gearbox u know the usual stuff
got them out and sorted

it was basically pissing down all day but the engine is in and will be gettin finished 2moro night if its dry...

not bad work over the weekend i reckon

mine is too thank god it turned out guy who built it didnt know how to oput shells in and starved big ends of oil in cylinders 2 and 3 luckily i ran it for about 1 min and pal knew it wasnt right so no damage done thank god
