My amp died a few weeks back which I put down to a fault remote cable so replaced that and all was good... for about 5 minutes till it cut out and refused to work anymore. Not clued up on electronics so baffled as to what could be fooked.
I checked every cable - not a single loose connection so can't be that
All I can think of is a fuse has blown somewhere but could a faulty remote cable cause that?

possibly. fuses will blow at the slightest thing, check the fuse in your main power cable. and remote cable if it is fused...

if it is the fuse, make sure you check all wiring, coz if u just pop another in it'll pop again

if all ya cables + fuses are fine now, then check for a light on ya amp, (presume it would b a red light if ur amp has this) - some amps shut down to prevent permanent damage if something goes wrong

that dodgy connection must have caused the amp to shutdown which explains why I had 5 minutes of use then nothing.
