Unsure o0n getting the above or not... how do they work does the bag go where the springs go, and do you still need to get shocks.
Or sod it and get decent coilovers with ride adjustable ....
Any one got any pics or heard any stories ..
Cheers fellas

ride is affected yes, because it can go up and down.
air bags and hydrolics reduce handling imo, but some people will argue
they are just for show

i have a 2ltr corsa on airbags and the ride is fine ...ok the cornering isnt as good as coilovers but its no diffrerent to standard suspension and not much different to uprated 1s
the kit replaces the front strut and spring but the back just replaces the spring,i got my kit from rayvern hydraulics and fitted them myself

lol. seriously, i got a full fluid dispersion hydraulics setup and the ride is no stiffer than a lot of coilovers. is actually quite tight so when car is dropped handling is actually pretty good. had it on my corsa for a year and a half already.

without sounding rude have you been in a corsa with alot of different coilover setups out of interest?

DS engineering do fully tailored airbag kits.
They used to be £999 but now they are more expensive http://www.dsengineering.co.uk/airsuspensionkits.php?model=31

hydrolic suspension is better yes but no where near as good as a good coilover setup. Hydrolics and air bag suspension are not built to handle well. And dont handle well , yes they may handle average, i.e. not bad.

my point was not that its better handling than coilovers but to state the fact that the ride is nowhere near as harsh as what its made out to be. bedding the springs in(yes i have springs on this system) took a while and yes, ride was terrible but once they softned they became pretty good. regular hydraulics systems have a poor ride, this i know. there is however a top notch new system on which you have hydraulic rams on each corner, linked to a valve distribution block redirecting the fluid into airbag struts bolted within a steel frame to really soften the ride. speak to rayvern anyone who is interested btw.

There is a normal hydraulic system, and then there is a fluid dispersion system.
A normal system offers little or no suspension at all, if you hit a pothole ur alloy will be pretty fucked.
A fluid despertion system consists of 8 rams in total, 1 under each arch, then 4 in the boot. The 4 in the boot have springs, and they look like this:
You can swap the springs for stiffer/softer ones. Like cossie (my bro) said, there is a new one similar to his system that works with airbags instead of these springs offering a more cushioned ride.
