6x4 oval for my corsa b. Everytime i go over a speed bump rather quickly i have a nasty noise coming from the back box, loud cluncking noise, metal to metal noise. Its a lot worse with a full car. I dont no wat its hitting/tapping cant find it. any one else with ideas/same problem.

pretty sure it will be the exhaust clamp on the rear beam. i have this problem all the time 2. still looking 4 a solution though

thought it was the chrome tip hittin underside of rear bumper, really peasisess me off, i wana lower it but think it will only get worse, being closer to ground

You need to spin the clamp around so the nuts are facing the floor pan and not the beam....

where abouts is this on the exhaust or under car???? is it where the exhaust rests underneath the back bumper in the two pre made hole things???

any help appreciated, really peeing me off.

if you spin the clamp 180 degrees its gone be knocking on the floor pan.

turn it 90 degrees or try moving the clamp or exhaust so its got more space away from the chassis of the car

use a slimline clamp, i did... problem solved

you need exhaust rubbers from a ford ive got the part number if you need it!

this clamp - is it where the back box attaches to the middle section?? just infront of the rear axle??? or above, cant remember

Lowering shouldnt affect it anyway if it's the exhaust on the bumper as they will still be as close as they were before to each other

yeah but it will be closer to the rear axle!!! mine does it aswell

Just wrapped a towel round my rear axle where the exhasut would hit. stopped the noise so im happy

Ive had a sebring 6x4 oval for over 2 years now and have exactly the same problem, especially when ive got 2 or 3 friends in the back, or if i hit a big pot hole goin too fast.
Ive been back to the garage that fitted it for me loads of times for new clamps etc, but unfortunetely nothing seems to fix the problem!
Please let me know if you find something that fixes the problem

Use a Jubilee clip instead of an exhaust pipe clamp?
