Just fitted the new engine and the engine seems very tappetty. Whats the best way to get rid of the ticking. Redex etc?

oil change can sometimes sort it out if its the tappets

I decided tappets don't tap. I think it's just the valves slapping against the head when they close.... If you re-build a head then you will notice this.
