I have a 1.6 sport and, as title would suggest, I want to tune it!

What would be a reasonable BHP figure to aim for? Also what would be the best away to go about achieving a decent figure in terms of mods to be done?

I know I could just out an XE in etc etc.....but I have decided I want to tune it!

So basically, I want to know, what are the best mods to go for and where are the best places to buy them!

Cheers

depends on cash flow, best route (depends how one defines best) *seeems* to be throttle boddies, though I'm sure someone else will be able to give you a mroe detailed overview on your options.

whats your budget? for really nice power go for a set of TB's you'd be looking at around the 160BHP mark with good torque and power delivery...

for less money but still a good power increase try out a manztel/lexmaul/diblas inlet manifold and unchip or stand alone managment...

Havent really thought about a budget tbh! Usually with expensive mods dad buys it on his credit card and lets me pay it back with affordable monthly repayments

Can anyone suggest what kind of budget I should aim for!

for trottle boddies you'd be talking about 2k 2300 if you included mapping... but the car would be a beast...

for a simple inlet manifold yer going to be talking in the region of 700 to 1k

I would love an XE trust me! However, I am only 18 so I think insurance would be out of the question whereas I am hoping tuning the existing engine wont be AS bad!

The thing is I was hoping to do loads of different mods not just one I.E throttle bodies!

What about cams etc......

I want to see someone turbo one, a de-compression plate from courtney, and a turbo kit from matheus from mig web and a standalone management set up, you could run 1 bar in to a std bottom end.

Get a old copy of Redline and copy Lee Mannings/Renton/Davys old Corsa spec.

That was 155bhp and it flew 0-60 in 6.39 seconds
