When i'm driving along at a steady pace the car start to kangeroo, but it doesn't happen when i'm putting my foot down. I'm thinking it's something to do with the air & fuel mixture but how do i sort it?
Is it something to do with the ECU?
I've recently got new spark plugs and leads so it's not them.
Might it be a blocked fuel filter blockage?

That's the problem right there, your blockage is blocked.

it could be a number of things, fuel filter blockage, faulty fuel pump, incorrect spark gap, knackered distributor cap and rotor, or something wrong with the injector rail. its hard to say. is the engine warning light coming on at all?

its likley that its your air flow meter thats gone, i had the same problem. get one from the scrappy from a 1.0 12v or 1.216v corsa this should sort it out - they are £200 + vat from vaux !

I've just got a new air flow meter for my 1.2, 140quid brand new, bargain for something that looks like a kids toy!
Club casualty, is your car a 1.2 16v?
Sounds like you might have the common problem they are start to get!
Try a new fuel filter, followed by new plugs, leads are no good for changing as a cheap option on the 16v ecotecs as the coil is built in a sits on your rocker cover, over 100 smackers!
As above, try fuel filter, air filter, plugs, coolant temp sensor, last option is an air flow meter. If non of that works, could need to loom modifying!
