buy a whiteline rear anti roll bar and remove your front one.... the front antiroll bar promotes understeer cos the car has the tendancy for the inside most wheel to be lifted off the ground... and less rubber on the ground is bad...
also with the front ARB removed some stiffer springs at the front would be of help...

well the car would be low4ered with a decent suspension set up ie good shocks as well as lowering springs so should be no probs there?
will the understeer be noticeable in normal driving practices

it depends what corsa you have, since there were differing thicknesses according to what engine size you had

front ARB was fitted to most models, except 1.2 8v Merit i am lead to believe. from 8mm to 10mm. Rear ARB on some models, only SRi and Sport/GSi i think. not sure on thickness.

my old 1.4i LS had a rear ARB, as does my GSi...
tbh though its more of a tie-bar integrated into the rear axle...

i think it was only the 1.2 8v's that didnt get the R/ARB, since mine never had one. Sport one was pretty lame though.

so youd recommend not touching the frotn and fitting a rear whiteline ARB?
why not the front..just too much understeer?

1. fit a rear whiteline ARB
2. remove standard vauxhall front ARB because it creates understeer
3. only do the above ideally if u have decent shocks and springs, they'll certainly benefit from it anyway

i have a k-mac front one, and its ace, it doesnt understeer anymore than it used to, infact, it turns in better, and it goes round roundabouts faster
but, maybe if i have a rear one, i'll need to remove the front to get the balance right

1.2 8v's have two front anti rollbars, one on each side.

the anti roll bar is the bit that joints them in this pic...

Poot, if you have, then there you go. i was only suspecting that the Merit didnt get them because it was the lowest of the low. Perhaps it was very early k reg merits that didnt get them
