I want to connect my laptop to my tv so then telly displays whats on the laptop. Is there anyway of doing this i.e SVGA to phono or scart lead

there is a cable... go to pc world and ask then go to a computer fair - or ask there..... and get it half price!!

lol, its a packard bell laptop, the svga connector i would need is a 15 pin male cannector

I think he wanted a helpful reply!
Basically, you'll need to check if your laptop has a TV-out facility (the one on mine is a proprietary connector which splits into the standard 3-phono output, which then plugs into the front of my TV for audio/video). Best bet would be to check with the laptop manufacturers...

there should be a s-video port on it... get an rca to scart cable and it should work...
