corsa has more torque..... no

maybe on a standard GT engine (140lbft or so)

Punto was RR'd at 190+lbft (a bit sceptical though)

It was on straight..... 3rd gear, then 4th gear, then 5th gear....

Results...

The GT pulled a big gap in all gears....

It went something like...

20mph in 3rd, floor it = xe pulls slightly before GT pulls 4 car length's

went like that in all gears with the XE leveling off, then starting to catch about 5k rpm or so....

the gap in 5th gear was huge Des passed me looking smug, punto hit 3k and hoofed down the road to take a huge lead..... corsa never cought, but was gaining visably at 120mph or so

Told you that the GT was a special edition Ross, honestly it was fast when I had it standard. It made Patricks tuned 1.6 16v look pathetic.

if the punto was anything like the starlet GT i was in with 187BHP and 173lbft then i cant imagine a 2.0 n/a beating it...

the power delivery was just voilent in this thing... i'd say it would run out of puff over 120 though... but we couldnt find enough road to get to this..

we must have been doing at least 70-80 in second gear!!

i'd seriously consider owning one if every ned didnt have one..
