hi ive got a corsa 1.4 sport and have been offered a 1.6 gsi engine is it an easy conversion? is it just a matter of taking out the 1.4 and putting in the 1.6?

if its the x16xe its v easy old out new in swap ecu and imoboliser chip, if its a c16xe its harder

both the same, if osmeone says a c16xe is better than an x16xe, id love to see them proove it in the long run! id go for an x16xe as its a newer engine so will be easier to find one with lower miles

c16xe responds better to tuning has better cams and better ports

it has a different exhaust cam, but its not that different, and as for responds better to tuning, id hardly say that, gains about 2-3bhp more with a manzel.....if you can notice it one the road........well..........

Also peak torque is higher and peaks 500rpm lower at 3500, rather than 4000rpm.
