How easy is this to do and would my vibe 6x9's go in as they do have 40z mags on them? How do they sound in there and has anyone got any pics of them done?
Considering if I should do this as I would like to keep these speakers.
Many thanks,
Tim.

havent done it before but it shouldnt be too hard, the doorcards mite need strengthning with some wood battoning or something. a lot of people will say dont bother with 6x9s, you can get subs that come in 6x9 form, these mite be better for you. if you were doing it, i would dynamat the panels behind so it would sound better

Cheers for all your help. I am taking the 6x9's out tomorrow and amping up the comps, and see how it sounds. If needed will get some infinity 6x9's or other size speakers put there.

Just think, you sit up front, where do you want the loudness to come from?
80wRMS components is more than ample for most, just make sure you mount the tweeter tidy.

I took the 6x9's out and amped up my front comps. Sounds a lot nicer. Still feel like something is needed in the rear, so I may buy some infinity comps for rear panel or just buy some infinity coaxials for that space. All I need now is a bigger amp as my 300w amp is good but it feels like the speakers will take more.

Yupp, the Vibe's are absolutely massive,, You'd do well to fit them in the panels.

forget 6x9s if ur running any other equipment they ruin the sound quality
use ur seb etc good comps up front and at the rear too
ull notice a difference. much punchier
6x9s always seemed sluggish to me!

ive got mine in the rear door cards.....
simply taken the rear seats out(you dont have to but makes things easyier)
then take of the door cards. sized it up to 6x9s, cut away with stanley knife.
put 6x9s in the door cards put them back in, wired up to my third amp!
sounds miles better, along with two subs in enclosed double box in the boot. easy easy job taken 30 mins!
