My 1.0 12V engine is needing replacing.
I was thinking of getting a 1.4 16V.
Are they hard to find?
Whats the sort of price for a low milage engine?
will also need engine mount and transmission
Cheers Dav

I dont know much about the 12v so I guess get a 1.4 16 engine and box about £400
Again i'd guess yous need different mounts as your engine is smaller but you can get these from any other model corsa eg 1.2 8v

cheers stu
so the engine mount for the 1.2 16V is the same as the 1.4 16V?
because i was going to try and get the corsa c 1.4 engine but the mount would be too wide for the b. wondered if the 1.2 corsa b mount could be used to hold it?

easy conversion. did this conversion on a mates car recently, only tricky bit is the wiring as the 1.0 12v ecu is on the side of the engine rather than in the footwell, so you need to make a new loom for the dash and other bits.
better off getting a 1.4 16v corsa tbh.

need the front drivers side mount for a 1.4 or 1.6 16v engine.
wiring is the difficult bit, when i did mine i used aftermarket management and loom so was nice and easy
