Carbon for the 'look' of carbon is just a sheer waste of money.

Lighter on a corsa?

I doubt you would notice the difference.

1) they are very heavy for there size anyway!
2) 99.99999% of them never go near the track in which you would need to even think of seeing a difference.

are they not that much lighter? i though they would have been about half the weight. guess the bonnet actually isnt all that heavy in the first place

i've felt the weight of a carbon corsa c bonnet (not on a car), and its a helluvalot lighter, but if its worth it, i do not know.

hmm not really interested in the weight as having a full letaher interior put in but just wondering if it would look ok as a styling item really

Was meaning the corsa mate.

Yes they are lighter, but it would be a bit like taking the debageing an oiltanker to save weight if you get me.

If your going for a carbon look.

lol na wont will have proper carbon bonnet

just looked a beardys and it look ok on a black car but form a distance cant really notice it

richard, lol, yeah see what you mean. the whole inside has been stripped out of mine and plan on getting fibre glass bootlid and lighter bonnet trying to get it under 900kg's all in for a gsi

Stip, buckets and cage. You wont see Folitc interior paint in one of my cars

yeah, no nothing inside apart from dash and 2 seats at the mo, no carpets no placcy trim nothing. buckets and cage will be going in in a month or so.

i have another car for comfort, the gsi corsa is just a car to have fun in, dont care about taking passengers really

Got some pics?

Im going to get an Escort Mk 6 cheap as chips now.

As I am only 19 go for the 1.3 or 1.6 then in a couple years time I will RS2000 or cosworth it

Will strip it out, strut brace, compomotives etc.

if you got the coin to burn incase it goes horrbly wrong, then yeah. thing is, unless you close up to the car you wont be able to tell.

i have mine strippedo ut and im looking for a fiber glas bonnet.... this is mine as it stands.....infact no the floor is all sprayed satin black and there is no tar matting to be found!



muppetsport i have pics of your car how it was when its sold....not to differnt ot mine,juts no cage and buckets! man stripping that car was funny! sending teddy ot buy a wall paper scraper(random) when he came back wed ripped it apart!

I'd be tempted by a Carbon bonnet for a C but i've not been able to find one onlin eyet? If you have any pics of one then i'd like to see it! I think it would look the nutts un painted on a black C

Im going to try and make one when I got time. Have done bigger and complicated carbon projects on racing dinghies.

broster, you can see where its been attacked with a scraper. i got this tar and glue removing stuff of me mate george aka george and it lifted it straight off after soaking for 5 mins. looks miles better with no tar-matting. cage and buckets will be on order soon.

shame feckin vauxhall never painted the floor of a car properly, or the bulkhead for that matter.

they do carbon bonets on ebay with mugen vents in. look half decent. i think for me, it would be better as it would be a good way of gettin heat out the engine bay
