I don't mean SteveW either, I meant MattB...................
He got me covered in fuel and electricuted with 20000 volts of HT current Other than that he is a pretty good helper monkey
So, I got the car running under its own steam, but I have no exhaust so driving it anywhere is a big no no, though I did get 50 out of it down my driveway with a slipping clutch (needed to adjust the cable. Alot.) And for those of you who are desperate to know, I do infact have the token XE oil leak from the sump already... Guess I'll have to do the gasket when I change the oil so long as it doesn't get too bad
Oh yea, M-Tech shortshifters - So smooth, so much nicer to use
Pics:

Also a note to anyone thinking of taking this on yourself... I did it mostly in 2 solid days of work. It wasn't too difficult, but you do need to know how to throw a spanner about to be able to complete the project. I didn't even know how an engine worked when I started this. Great way to learn as these cars and engines aren't too complicated

Haha, notice the grey wire going from the engine bay to inside the car? Maybe not... That goes from the engine loom relay to the fuel pump. There must be a fault or something in the thin red and blue wire somehwere going to the fuel pump. It just doesn't work.... Will tidy everything up now and double check all connections to make sure nothing goes and drops off... I painted the sump gasket area with silicone gasket stuff and it's not leaking so bad now...

I drove it up and down my driveway twice, the neighbors threatened to call the Police and tried to come over and get me though my dogs attacked him and bit him so he ran away! I think I might drive it on Wednesday when I sort the tax and insurnace out.........

And also that rocker cover you gave me It's been modified to piss oil all over the exhaust tappets rather than sheild them... Works nicely too...
