As was quite obvious the search for a decent GSi in a decent colour and within a reasonable range of my location has so far proved fruitless, so the option of buying a 1.6 16v Sport and adding a few GSi touches (bumpers, skirts etc) is looking like a pretty good alternative, but as I'm fairly new to the Corsa game I'm after a bit on info on them if you wouldn't mind?
If I put what I know so far then feel free to correct them and add to it aswell.
Cheers pimps and players!

OK, so what I think I know about 1.6 16v Sports is this:
~ The engine is the same as the GSi (apart from the early GSi's).
~ They come with the same spoiler as the GSi.
~ They came in (?) gloss black, Arden blue, Flame red, Star silver, (?) gloss white and Brocade yellow.
~ The side rubbign strips are just stuck on and can be carefully removed (i.e no pins underneath them).
~ Some of them came with air con.
No doubt I'll think of more questions to ask!
Also can someone show me the difference between a std rear bumper and a GSi one (to me it just looks like the GSi one is colour coded), and is their any problems with fitting a GSi front umper to a later model Corsa (The grille fittings mainly).
Cheers for any help!

Late gsi's had the same engine as the sports
rear gsi bumper has no line right along it...colour coded ones have a sort of join right round where it wnet from black plastic to the cc bit...i'll get pic..

Gotcha, so assuming that the Sports didn't come with colour coded arch trims/skirts like the GSi's then?

They came with air-con only when they also started coming with three spoke wheels.
While they came with five spokes they had a sunroof instead, up until changeover between S/T reg.
ABS was always an option having been standard on GSi.

ABS an option? Grey arch trim? Jesus Vauxhall are stingy sometimes!
So, to get air con you need a later model (T reg onwards)?
The arch trims were grey?
Do they all come with the GSi rear spoiler or was that an option aswell?
And what are the names of the black and white paints that they came in please?

unless the trims grey
if the trim is well treated it looks good and stays jet black

If anything, black cars make the arches stand out more, not less.
White is Glacier White. I think the black is called just that.
