gearboxes are shite, mate had one about 4 years and had 2 gearboxes in that time!!

I've had 1 for 2 years. Never had any problems.

Love mine. Great handling, never had any problems with the gearbox.
For the amount of money there worth you get a lot of car I reckon.
Not sure where you heard that they were "very nickable" as my mates car was broken into by smashing the window, but they couldnt open the doors cause of the deadlocks and they couldnt start it either.

gti 6 are good strong reliable cars in my opinion.
was on par with my 106 gti till around 110 then started pulling on me,thats my mates one im talking about
can see 145 in them

the 1st ones out had gearbox troubles but I'm sure that got all sorted by the later models..
Try and find a 306 S 16 they are class if a bit old now......

A car Dealer told my Dad when he was looking at it that they are a favourite for Robberys etc etc. Can have the keys stolen and be used etc.

Thats a better description of being stolon, the way you made it you can nick them with a screwdriver!!! oviously you can nick them if you burgle the house

i test drove one of these and was pleasantly surprised
was on a twisty lane and handling was great
the only reason i didnt buy it was because i was worried i would regret not getting something quicker but other than that a very nice car
