just had some head work done on my xe and had the cams out so now its there back on the head i cant remember the setting before i took it apart. My mate is a mechanic so will probably be able to get it right first time but just wondering if anyone knows of the easiest way to do it. My pulleys are verniers so they just have a red pen mark on each pulley unlike the original pulleys which have the proper markers. Is there more than one way which the altenator belt pulley can be bolted on? I am presuming there is as there is alot of different timing marks on the pulley. Any help at all would be good.

thanks

just time them up using top dead centre on the cam pulleys and the crank pulley. then take it somewhere to get the timing set up properly by using the verniers, a rolling road for example.
