I have lost all acceleration and can’t do over 60mph when I hit 60mph engine management light comes on. Any idea what could be wrong?

It is not the time belt or clutch. Cant do paper clip test coz I got 1999 corsa.

any ideas plz?

its the air flow valave or wot i got told by vaux, or idle control valve, its very dear form vaux so read a haynes adn do it urself.
same thing happened to my 1.0 12v corsa

it's called a mass air flow meter (AFM) about £300 mate.
got my mate to get me one from vauxhall for about 180 and fitted it myself easy.

try ebay seen on there

u could prob take it out give it a good clean job done, dont get diagnostic test as it is like 60 quid wasted

out local performance shop does diag reading for £25, dont goto vauxhall for it, find somewhere else.

spray it with carb cleaner, hopefully that should get you a few thousand more miles from it

cost me 75 from vaux, labour wasnt much either, found the fault, replaced it, job done.

£75 won't have replaced mass air flow sensor, my step dad is registered trader, so can get discounts on vaux stuff and it cost him £150 just for a air flow sensor
