seeing as insurance renewal came up, and 1.6 16v + TB's + 12 points + 1 yrs no claims = not many companies would cover me, decided to stick with my 1.2 sxi. getting some new wheels this weekend all being well, already got some bits to go on as well.
should hopefully look something like this:

new astra wheels? they look nice but do they come in 4-stud? and what offset?

new tigra wheels, in 4 stud. not sure on offset, but 6.5j wide so shouldnt be too bad i dont think. would expect the offset to be between 40 and 45

already sold the TBs + management, still got everything else tho but it needed rebuiilding

you will have big arch problems if you wanna go low, im running ET42 and even with the 195/40/17 tyres i still catch the arches and ive ct the plastic and metal front and back and pulled the rear arches out aswell!

yep, all gone now end of an era.
got fed up with the expense to be honest, never had a month with spare cash for myself
1.2 is half the insurance costs, and cheaper to run

does it catch alot?
altho if its catching at all thats not really good, and the wheels i want will be another 2mm further out. maybe id better think of a new plan

mine still catch on some corners and thats with my coilovers set to quite hard as mine are damping adjustable!

how low were you planning on going?

5 stud wheels ws to much work with the 1.2 engine, need custom hubs n cant be arsed spending the money. might still do it as a side thing n just not get any decent wheels for now, havent decided yet.

got -50mm springs n shocks at the minute, which i would use. ideally id still wana b able to take a full load of people etc

195-40's? thought the narrowest 17's where 205-40's?

nope, can get 195/40s not many companys do them tho
and they're about £90 a tyre
