below the stereo in the crash bar
on the a pillar

one wire to earth "chasis"
one wire to a switched live
and one wire to illumination stiched live if you want it to light up in the dark

it tell you what voltage the whole car is runnin at so if you turn the stereo on then the heater and lights etc itll drop a little
but if it drop lots then you know there may be a problem
