Id do it completely differently.
IMO id do it like so:
Buy a high miler LET block on the cheap
Take ot vauxhall to get one of there re-manafactured engines
Full set of pipes from autovaux new
New turbo
And a NEW LOOM  (99% of all my problems stem from this) All the reliability probs i have have not been the actuall engine rather all the sensors and wires applied to it as mine is in shocking condition)
May be a tad more expensive but id say itd be mroe than worth its weight in gold

Yup 
Im spiking and not boosting then boosting then loads then little and not at all.
Its fucking all over the place  
Recconected the std DV, it now runs alot smoother idles better etc etc
But boost is totally random. I need a boost guage big time gunna buy one today i think

boost gauge and then find out whats happening! sounds like an air leak to me though
when u start the engine is it all over the place or after it has been driven?

Matt a phase 2 ecu would turn my F20 in pea soup
Plus if u let me fit it i wouldnt let you have it back 
I am gunna have to double check all wires and connections and blank the std DV
May need to borrow the amal valve tho!
U got a loom lying around? Or even better a poorly one i can steal a couple of plugs off?

I would always buy the complete donor car and drive that for a while. This gives you everything you need and you can be certain that the engine is minty fresh (bar rebuild) before its put into the corsa.
I did this, and had no problems whatsoever.

For me - rebuild engine with bottom end and top end
head stud set
arp rod bolts
stiffer actuator
hybrid rebuilt turbo
auto vaux hose and sfs hoses for the ones they do
ally intercooler piping
brand new frontera intercooler
brand new jubilee clips and sensors throughout
quaffe atb
fwd f28
phase 2
wired in by a vaux electrician with no spade/joiners etc
Thats why im budgeting on about 3-3'5k for mine when it goes in!
if you know the right people and fit yourself you can save a shit load, also i wont need the fitting kit obv

My loom was inclusive of the engine a new one from vaux is £250
I didnt skimp at all when buying my engine for all its worth i paid through the nose for mine!
The only way for you to be sure is as byron said buy the car and drive it for a while which leads to insurance complications and if u dont have the space etc its hard OR buy everythijng brand new, to which ull need a fairly large cheque book, as i said if i did it all again then i would do it differently, the only way to learn is to do it and learn!
I love the way my engine needs attention tho cos ive nbever learnt so much about cars ever!

My conversion was almost to this sort of degree...
Rebuild engine with bottom end and top end - My engine was thoroughly inspected before fitting..new gaskets all round.
head stud set - Check
arp rod bolts - Not essential for phase 2 power
stiffer actuator - regal uprated affair
hybrid rebuilt turbo - again, rebuilt.
auto vaux hose and sfs hoses for the ones they do - genuine OE ones here
ally intercooler piping - makes so much difference to the feel of the car
brand new frontera intercooler - ditched mine in favour of custom Serck Marston rally core and custom housing
brand new jubilee clips and sensors throughout - check..local marine shop have these
quaffe atb - on my wish list
fwd f28 - came in the m-tech conversion kit
phase 2 - next step
wired in by a vaux electrician with no spade/joiners etc - Probably better than vxl, dan silverster and jamie fisher from MIG.
Brads got the right idea...

There's no way it needs to be wired in by an electrician... You just need to borrow some plugs off of a Corsa loom and soilder + heat shrink everything up nicely

Oh it's also a good idea to borrow the fuel pump relay switched live plug off of the old alternator/starter loom to make everything neat and 'factory' looking
