Just had a brief look on the lancereggister and got all confused!
Whats the "best" one if theres such a thing
I.e

Rs2
GSR
Tommy makk.. (TME)

What were the specs/performance/visual differences?

RS is the semi stripped lightweight edition, GSR is just the normal evo with extras etc, tommy mack has colours/stickers/styling to look like the TME rally car

Rs2 - No AYC, has electrics unlike the RS which was used by Rally teams. There are diff specs from the factory though.

GSR - AYC, electrics, normal Evo

Tommy mak.. (TME) - AYC (can come without although v rare), electrics, quicker steering rack, titanium turbo, diff front bumper/alloys,lower suspension, red interior, rarer than GSR and worth a few k more.

Then you have the Monte Carlo TME which is fappin rare etc

The best IMO would be a TME RS or Monte Carlo, no AYC or electrics but these are ultra rare. Next best IMO is the Makinen, boggo RS is a bit too basic i.e no leccys/air con/recaros or anti lock brakes.

Nick that bumper looks different to yours (the white mote carlo)?

So is (was ) your tme exactly the same as one with the graphics or does that differ

Bumper is same Tom just different side. The TME with graphics was an option at about £800 only available on the red ones, nothing different just a few graphics and white spoiler blade.

AYC has it's lovers and haters. Personally I found it fine and ok to deal with, others say it's dangerous. The key to it is trust the car and let it do it's thing, a lot of people have stuffed their Evos by trying to correct the AYC and this is where you will come into probs and maybe end up in a ditch

AYC = From the Evo 4 onwards (GSR models) Active Yaw Control was introduced. It is a type of active rear differential that helps to provide maximum traction to individual rear wheels according to sensed forces on the car and the drivers input.
