have just took my clocks out because the battery charge light isnt coming on, and the bulb is perfectly OK, (it is the big push in type one isnt it?)

any other suggestions as to what it could be? gotta be wiring somewhere? but what wires?

the battery light doesnt come on when? when you turn the ignition?

thats right yeh, it doesnt come on when the ignition is turned, on, or ever for that matter of fact!

check the earth at the starter have had that before make sure its whole and all clean and then at the alternator and then check the thin wire too
