This thing is fucked. Rounded off and ive been trying to remove it for days.

Could drill it out but does the bolt go through the floor ?

As many suggestions as possible on how to get it out , before i set it on fire

get a hacksaw and cut along the bolt head and unscrew it with a phillips driver. Or did i say that in your last thread

place a larger torx bit into the old grooves so long as you didn't thread it to much and give it a hammer in to create new grooves (so long as your torx bit is decent) then unscrew... i did this for 3 out of 4 of mine

jakes suggestion is perfect to but can be a bugger to do with space constraints so a dremel may be better in assisting you

i managed to drill mine out.... along process but can be done...... you need an up right freestanding drill and use a high speed steel drill on a slow speed and gently peck down with the drill ...... make sure you have a few spare drill cause the bolts are hardened and will take the cutting edge of the drill and will require re sharpening

Tried phillips , head snapped.

Tried larger torx , it bent and twisted with the amount of force I used.

Infinitycorsa what did you do once it was drilled ?

have you sprayed it with wd40?

also when twisting you need to apply downward force to rather than just horizontal turning

wat torx bits are u using? make .etc

Plenty of WD40 mate !

Yes downward force was applied in great manner

No need for torx screws now as the head is rather shagged.

Do you know if the inner bolt comes through the floor ?

yes if u get on your hands and knee's and look underneath you can see it... this is where the wd40 shud be going mainly not inside ure car

in end got a massive pair of mole grips and got my dads strong m8 on it

i didnt look under the car for access to the bolt but grind as much as u can off top and back then drill and re tap

no drill through the bolt almost size on size, and then use a centre punch or alike to knock the rest out so hopfully u wont damage thread....its not a quick process but at least its done either that or get someone to weld a bolt on to the screw

Are you talking about the inner bolt (closest to handbrake etc) or the outer bolt ?

The inner bolt is the one I'm stuck on.

Surely you would have put on a new nut as well as re thread ?

to get easier access to the bolt you can remove the seat from the sub frame...bit of a ball ache but can be done
