Gave them a call, but the main man aint home :boo:

The guy I spoke to said that the case me be that for an upgrade through the phases I may only have to pay the difference in price, which im hoping is true.. cos then im going to phase 3.5

Anyone else went up a phase with EDS software??

I was using VMAX software on my Calibra Turbo - V Tuning sell this - might be worth flogging your EDS Stuff in favor - the reason i say this is the VMAX stuff has better safety cut. Numerous times (very cold weather) when the boost would go wildly out of range this software saved my engine.

This is particularly useful if you would be running the VMAX version of phase 3.5 (which is VMAX 5 if memory serves) as your pushing the standard internals notibality the conrods which are the weak point to the total limit, this is obviously dependant on the condition of your engine - i know people who have shot a conrod running this power in a matter of weeks, but some people have had it for years with no probs.

Just my thoughts but i found the VMAX software faultness. i have never had direct experience of EDS myself but heard good reports all the same.

Yeah I know that the V-max stuff uses knock sensor instead of the lambda safety cut,

But to be honest im not sure which one is better V-max or EDS, ive heard people slate the EDS switchable boost buttons.. saying that they break quite frequently.. but not sure how true that is, as mine seems to work alright…

Im looking to break the 300mark, and did look at the Vmax Evo 5 and evo 6..

Venomturbo uses evo 6 management im sure?!?!maybe he can give me more information on this..

yup, some 1500 quid thing from regal the fella who owned that cav i got motor out of bought.

builds from about 2300ish, hits 1.3ish (aint wound actuator up, too wet to set it at mo) at about 3300 and holds just over a bar to rev limiter in 3rd, 4th and 5th, yet not 6th for some reason

no wonder it hold boost up to limiter, most standard turbo will struggle to hold 15psi at 7000rpm

the odd thing is, and i will curse it by saying this.......

ive melted 4 pistons on 2 seperate occasions, once had it with no water feed hence the death of 2 pistons, and it still works fine, lol. builds boost properly, and holds it and no noises. odd oil out back every once in a blue moon, but it turbo, mates cossie puts multi coloured smoke out sometimes
