get one thats had a recent rebuild and you'll be fine. Otherwise expect to fork out a fair bit for a rebuild.

£500 per rotor tip for a rebuild usually, and there are 6...

Likes been said, if you can get one thats had a rebuild you'll probably get about 60k out of it before it needs redoing. If it hasn't had one, ask to have a compression check done on it to see if its on its way out, could be a bartering point to knock a couple of quid off.

Just offering my advice and you'll be hard pushed to find somewhere that'll do the rebuild for less than £2.5k - £3k, I know because I went through the RX-7 phase and its what put me off getting one.

Not £500 per tip for a start. a stock rebuild is 2.5K

Are you forgetting the plates , housings , water seals all the main stuff that go on them , not just the tips!

£500 per tip was the guide price if you will, including all the other bits and bobs with labour included, i.e. 500 x 6 = £3k, which was the best i could find really in the local area.

Most i looked at were high mileage and pre-rebuild, in the end I dropped it from the list and looked at GTOs and Supras.

Was going with the 6spd TT Supra until I fell in love with a Kaze kitted GTO TT with a few goodies and put my deposit down on that. Had no problems so far except a couple of construction and use issues the dealer didn't do and sorted myself. Would have loved to have got an RX-7 but the GTO has stolen it for me now.

Your 14 or 15. Piss off, how can you have even contemplated buying an RX7, you probably only have a paper round.

Why do people lie about cars. You are going to be getting a 900cc metro and you will thrash the tits off it and smash it into a curb or somone elses car.
