Its a possibility that your fuel pump is fooked, and you have low fuel pressure, causing it to run lean, and your lambda is throwing up a error when you put the throttle down.

thats one diagnosis.

throttle position sensor is one guess.

can you get the em light to stay on for more than 30 secs? if so it will log a fault code.

Vauxhall mechanics (well the majority of them) cannot think for themselves. They need TIS to tell them what's causing the problem, and let's face it, computers aren't always right...

Problem is even if they think the fault is something else, they cant replace it without a diagnostic print OUT, If the print out says do that, they have to, its all part of guided fault finding

Do a paperclip test and see if a fault code comes up.

It does exactly the same as what mine was like when my Mass Air Flow meter packed up, but you said you tried one. Was it a new one that you tried or did you at least know it was in good working order?

EDIT - only looked at the first vid of it starting, didnt see the ones where your driving it. Mine didnt used to do that seems pretty fucked up

looks fuel related to me, I've had similar problems in the past, mine was a blocked fuel filter but that was on my 106 Gti.
