My irmscher altenator lowering bracket arrived today, looks like it will lower the altenator by a good 2" which will be handy! i wonder why sbd wont sell these and just try to sell one of their smaller alt's instead that cost over £200! big up to online autosport for sorting it!

its the other way round, so the alternator sits lower

see how the bracket goes up above the bolts, this one drops down below the bolts...

because it fouls on the back panel for the air filter, so the air filter wont sit directly over the middle of them, this in turn limits me to the size of the trumpets i want and makes fittingthe filter an absolute pain! this bracket dont fit :angry: took me ages to remove the trumpets and stuff too lol! also the 60mm trumpets i got off pipercross are too small inside bore ::angry:

new bracket made but belt is too short so longer belt ordered. this is all

i got one of these on my corsa but the bracket snapped I had to weld a bar in to strenghen the bracket

i am using 5mm plate, but there is no way i can fit the altenator where i want without having a longer belt, so soon as thats sorted ill be able to mount it well out the way, the plate i mate looks damn sexy too! j1400, you want this bracket? what does your altenator look lke? is it the 16v one?
