Getting my mk1 golf chemicaly stripped down to the bare metal then gona be respraying it any idea how much i m gona be looking at for the respray?

Wana know roughly what to expect when i ring around!

yeh i know, but will also be however long you cut it.

when asking how long a piece of string is you should always elaborate i say, try to determine what it will be used for etc

So how long is a piece of string when it comes to the cost of respraying a car

Perhaps we could get a ball of string and wrap it round the car? It wouldnt need a repray then

Or a cheaper alternative would be cheese strings?

Yeh, but if u went away ud never need to stop at the services because you could just have a nice on-the-go cheesy snack, unless you took cheesy then you could just eat him

i think its about a third of its overall cost multiplied by the gravitational effect of the cheestring to the power of 7, realting to einstiens theory of relativity, indirectly, but inversely proportional to the size of the car divided by its overall colour

what abouts Newtons law though? This would directly contradict the multiplyer used by Einstien, and therefore need an increase of the power of the cheese string to 7.543....but what about Pie?

Pie is 3.14 times that by einsteins multiplier of 7.543 and you get 23.68502

Therefore the cost of the respray will be £2,368.50

to be honest some places will charge a fortune, others wont. Only way is to get a couple of quotes.

I would definitly try to find somewhere that is well recommended and definitly see some of their work first. There are too many shitty bodyshops out there that'll take your money and do a shite job.

my saxo cost me around 600 to respray most of the panels mand fill half the car in with filler lol. i thought it was a decent enough job, personally i wouldnt spend 1500+, dnt think that the job is good or bad because of the price, jst look around the garage and see how he works and what the other cars are like

it is a full full repray so your looking at around £2800 maybe more for that depending on colour!
