When taxing your car do you need an insurance certificate for that car or is insurace that lets you drive other cars third part good enogh to get the tax done

Is the problem that you don't have the certificate or that the car isn't insured at the moment? If you are driving on a another policy then check you are OK to do so, most want the car to currently be insured properly so that when you park it its insured on the public highway.

the way you can get around it as add the car you want to tax to your policy as a temporary vehicle and when you get the certificate through you can tax it with that

depends what your insurer allows

when i did it with the nova i used to insure a month at a time temp and taxed it with my insurance
