not stolen mate, my mate got it on contract, decided he did not want it anymore and sold me it, he has not cancelled the contract!

he said unlocked, not unblocked.

They can be unlocked to any provider, yes

They cannot "legally" be unblocked

Service provider just sounds like you want to put a sim from another network in.
Yes that can be done easily. And legally.

everytime i try and make a call it just says call ended

if it was locked to a specific network and you put another network sim in i'm pretty sure it would still say "insert sim" or "not allowed".

how do you unlock them ?? i have a sharp gx10i which will only take vodafone sim card, and theyre prices for texts and calls take the piss

is it legal to unlock them ?

totally legal...most paki phone shops will do it, any paki on the market also

Nah, just plug into your phone with a cable and press a button on some software. Piece of piss really, any asian can do it.
