Going to the garage tomorrow and I cant stop thinking it might be a write off. The body panels are damaged and I can replace them myself. Just wondering if by just looking at it, people could give me some idea to what MIGHT in relation to the position the wheel has ended up in. My guess is it could be wishbone, chassis mounts, tie bars, anti roll bar? Anything else you might suggest? Reckon its a write off in your experience? Cheers

can u not tak other angles eg with bonnet open taken straight on as if you was taking pic of engine etc would really help to see how extensive it is

Dont have the car outside, left it outside my local pug garage, thats about the best i have. With the wheel off center what could be damaged though, im sure it could be a number of things.

wishbone has probably taken most of the impact, but i should imagine pretty much everything steering/suspension wise will need replacing on that side

Wish bone shouldnt be too dear. Had to get one for my exs 206cc. was bout 110 incl labour.

I know someone who hit a kerb and there wheel ended up in a similiar state, it was the wishbone they were back on the road in a couple of days, hope to god thats all it is. Hit the kerb pretty hard though, took a chunk out the wheel which i pretty twisted like

Doubt it will be a write off to be honest
Why dont you get all new parts,
Wishbone etc for that side from a motor factors?
get some place to fit all the stuff

new wing about 20
arch 20 ish
new wish bone is about 50
labour 150-200
l
fixed worse myself in a few hours
its all bolt on

Well ive got 300 stashed away which was originally going towards my new car, vegasphil has given me the number to a scrappies near him which delivers and happens to have a quiksilver in which would be convinient. Arch sprungs off and is in one piece, got that in the boot so thats one less things to worry about.
Thanks for that everyone, its all very reassuring.

it should be an easy fix mate wing is held on with about 10 bolts u should be able to do most of it urself

The visual side of things you shouldn't need to worry about parts are easily avalible and you can get them anywhere. Even if you get the parts and use them unpainted etc for a while. I'd be more concerned about the Mechanical Damage. This stuff is harder to do yourself if you don't have the experience/tools/confidence IMO. There is also a risk it's twisted/bent, Cars are designed to Absorb the Energy etc..
Something looks very twisted there. The rim/tyre is virtually touching the wheelarch on the right. Loads of space on the Left.
Could be suspension Damage there. Loads of 106's at Scrappys though.

Watch for the chassis leg being bent. Quite common on wee 106's.
Had a few in at my work that have hit a kerb ad about 15 mph and the legs have been twisted quite badly

Chassis Leg is part of the Chassis. Not actually replacable i don't think!
Jig is the machine used in a bidyshop to bend a car back into shape after an accident.

Oh right I thought it may only be a mount or something, I reckon the pug garage will try and take me for a mug so as long as I question them about these sorts of things they may be more reasonable

if the chasis is gone, its gone.
car that need jigging never drive right afterwards, tyre wear etc

if the operator knows what hes doing and suspension is reset afterwards then there should be no reason why it wouldnt drive properly you ever seen the tolerances cars have

chassis will be twisted i reckon if so a write off
best thing to do is jigg it then
dont take it to peugeot ffs cost bout 3k to put right
get a list of whats needed get it all from scrappy
