Buy a new sport...in white..

Rip out interior and replace with 2 buckets.
Fit an XE
Fit a new Gsi kit
fit comp mo's in white
Fit a set new suspension / brakes etc

how muchos???

sport 2000 for what 2k
XE fitted 1.5k
New gsi kit fitted 1k
wheels and tyres £800
suspension and brakes £800
seats £500

other wee bits ie lights etc £500

so all in about =£7k

still want to though, profit when i sell house might get put to the cause

i fancy doing this also. maybe buying a 306 dturbo soon, but will always want a corsa. i reckon ill actually buy a gsi though. and start putting my money into it.

You'll be lucky to find a nice one for 2k. There's a 99/T on the trader at the moment at 3k, admittedly low miles at 35k.

Stuff doesn't have to be new either. Its plastic so its not going to have deteriorated much. Not so much that I would want to double the project price making it look standard anyway.

ps. if you're painting it and changing the engine, you may as well start with a later one, check the reg:

so newest one to get about a 99/2000 model....2001

thought sports were that wee bit better than the base model for a project, component wise etc??

just i would like to do it with all new components and no 2nd hand stuff, but i know what you mean it's all plastic anyway...

No matter what i change too car wise would still love a totally mint gsi looklike xe corsa...dunno why...?

I had something planned similiar before I crashed mav, would have had the car sold on sunday aswell at the asking price.

Stil hopefully going ahead, my plan is get a fairly new, w/x reg 1.6 sport in black or silver
gsi kit
smoked lights
70mm drop
stripped interior and full cage
tune the engine and join smallblock xe
