ever since i bought my corsa sport the standard vauxhall alarm has never worked when i press the button on the interior lights it flashes for 10 seocs then nothing and according to the manual their is a fault could any body help as to where i could look for a fault or any tests i can do as i have a bit of know how with electrics many thanks

The manual does not say that is fault, it purely says that you are turning the ultrasonic sensors on or off. To set the alarm, you need to deadlock the drivers door (turn the key so it is horizontal) then remove the key without putting it vertical again. The light should flash for a couple of seconds then. If it constantly flashes then, or does not flash, then there is a problem with the alarm. Look here for more help:
