Just after opinions really!

At the moment i'm on 17's and dropped 60mm on springs, my car is feels really light on the front when giving it a little round the bends,

I know coilovers will help big time, but i'm also wondering if its worth getting a front strut brace (upper and lower?) and also uprating the ARB (its got the std SRi ARB on at present), is it worth doing this before getting coilovers or after getting coilovers?

Smaller wheels will help.

I dont have any problems with mine on 17s with just springs and shocks and no strut braces?

smaller wheels and lift the car to about 40mm drop

ARB will promote understeer in the wet.... not always the best solution

i knew smaller wheels were going to be recommended!! dont really want to change them, but might get some 16's as a bit of a compromise between looks/performance

it understeers in the wet at present, so dont really want to make that any worse, as it is a daily drive

corsa + twisties = impossible
anybody that tells you their car is ace on bends is Pinnochios friend, or has big balls and doesn't mind dying.

but yeah, 15's, decent suspension. you don't want the front end to be anymore stiffer than it is.

i know it wont ever be amazing on the bends, just want to make it a bit better than it currently is,

so basically if I make the front end stiffer this will give me understeer? i assume a rear ARB wont enhance the understeer as its at the back of the car?

stiffer front end will only make it understeer on loose gravel and in the wet. I found the rear ARB improved the initial turn in and the car now seems less prone to lift off oversteer.

going to revive this thread as I think I need more info on the topic since this thread I have fitted a front strut brace and removed the rear spoiler I had (the spoiler was pushed the rear down and therefore making the front light)

but really I need info on ARB's front / rear arguments for and against, and is it worth doing the arb's before changing the shocks or should I change the shocks first

Sorry but I doubt removing the spoiler has made a difference, its only a Corsa not a F1 car.

mine goes round corners quite well now

lowered 60mm on coilovers, 15" wheels with low profiles, front strut (made quite abit of difference) even got a bit of oversteer on a high speed corner

I'm considering this and almost deffinatly getting a rear one, but am curious if it will be a waste of time on standard shocks

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/rikkic/latestpics/corsa-spoiler.jpg the top plane was at quite an angle compared to the car

when I took it off it deffinatly felt less light on the front end, its still in the shed so can put it back on to see if I feel a different back again

2 saxo spoliers one is bad, 2 is ermm....worse

take them off, put just the corsa one back on on its own, wont help handling but will help looks

as for front anti roll bar, i found i didnt need mine on with coilovers as it just made it understeer more

They are off, just the corsa one on there now (for at least 6 months or more now), at the time of doing them they looked good, and i do still like them, but do prefur the car without them
