Just spent since 5pm standing in the cold!
My mum had her car broken into at London Colney Marks and Spencers.
The car was the 1st one from the door/trolley bay and the fuckers still managed to get away with 2k worth of gear!
Its a Ford Focus st170, looks totally standard no extras,
they put a screwdriver in the lock and pushed that into the door and then forced the handle open
She rang the police, Oh and wait for it
"theres nothing we can do"
single woman, crying her eyes out and they said there too busy, where does her taxes go??
I tried to secure the door so she could drive it, but the RAC man just wiggled a screwdriver in the lock and slammed the door. thats after he took 2 hours to get there
So they manager to get away with
Works Dell Laptop - no use as it has so many passwords etc, they have to wipe it clean to use
Her clothes - £300 worth including suits
tom tom go 500, that was in the glovebox (which the snapped out to get in)
Ford MP3 player - no use without the code
Prada sunglasses
And her toiloetries hair straighteneres etc
So bloody annoying that no one wanted to help her, and its put her at a huge inconvienience!
RANT OVER

The tom tom was in the glovebox, along with the holder and all the cables, the laptop was in the boot along with her overnight bag.
There was nothing on view apart from the stereo
Manager of the shop said it happens all the time there as people just nip in off the m25, have a look around and then if the opportunity is there they strike.
Guess as she was in a suit in a decent car they thought must be a laptop etc
I mean someone must have seen or heard something, she was in the shop for about 5 minutes

i totally agree broster, I mean theres a security guard at the front of the store, hardly spoke a word of english
wouldnt surprise me if he told people where the damn cars were!
Really upset me though as they could have waited till she came back and got the keys and taken the car, and the police and rac didnt really have a care in the world

rac were good to me once, my mate from newcastle came down and broke down whilst he was here, i called the rac out using my card as he didnt have a breakdown cover.
rac man came out and as it turns out he wasnt obliged to offer any help as my cover didnt cover his car.
but he still towed him 12 miles to a garage of my choice to get it fixed

i witnessed a tramp pissed up in a town centre at 12.00. community support officers, 2 of were called by the bouncer in peacocks!!! to sort him out. had just fallen asleep. next thing, 2 police cars with cops and a riot van with 3 cops come over, watch him sleep on the floor for a bit then cart him off. i'll remember that next time i har "not enough resources to supply an officer". Blairs Britain.

Its just silly, then on the m25 on the way out there was 3 police cars parked up as a 4x4 had broken down about 3 miles from where we was, I mean how long would it have taken to just check my mum was ok ??
Shes ok and thankfully the car insurance covers everything, but it could have been a lot worse

not meaning this as your mam deserved it but... stuff like that shouldnt be left in a car, there is loads of adverts warning ppl.
police would rather pull someone doing 31 in a 30 than catch the real criminals.
long shot but hope you get the stuff back
