i usually go for 29 back, 32 front, tyres wear evenly, and handles well

(i spent hours playing with the pressures at work one sunday, cos people kept asking me... these were the best i found)

mercedes benz dont always use 30psi, it depends on the car, engine, tyre size, speed rating, load index

you cant just go "30psi, that'll be fine" cos it will destroy your tyres in hardly any miles

I always run mine at 30psi front, 28/29 rear. Never had any problems with wearing out quickly or just on one part of the wheel. Thats a 1.2 Corsa on 205/40/17s

do different tyre brands have different pressures?

maybe would just be easier to go down to elite (tyre/wheel place) and ask them.

any tyre place will have a chart for standard sizes, but as the biggest wheel vauxhall put on the corsa was 14", it will be guess work

try 32/29 or 30/28 and see how you get on
