im buying a mk3 golf next week from adam-d and dont want to spend much money on it , as its just a runaround, but are there any suggestions you may have to make it look ok?? ive seen plenty of decent alloys cheap on ebay, what else would you suggest ?

just nice alloys n lowered and smoked lights etc, u dont hav to do alot to them to make them look ok

wheres the best place for vw parts such as lights?? is ebay ok? or is that the usualy crap that you see for corsas? (cheap copies)

I would suggest a U2U to Icy, as he may know some places and be able to point you in the right direction

yeah, if it had a tt engine i probably wouldnt sell it..and certainly wouldnt be as runaround

as for mods, smoked lights all round, tints, the set of audi wheels i have and induction and exhaust

TBH if your buying it to free up some money and just have as a run around while you save for a new car I wouldn't mod it

if its older than 96 i think , theyre prone to rust as aint galvanised. boot and arches check for rust also under the seal in the door side sill

simple effective modes

debadged grill
mk4 style headlights
m3 style tails

rear delocked handles or mk4 polo handles if u have remote central locking

iv got some front smoked indicators+ dummies i mite sell
