Just sent some money off to j1400 for some throttle bodies and would just like to know what you guys are using on your throttle bodied engines.
Broster has recomended I go for the management he has got but would like to explore any other possibilities. I quite like the idea of full throttle gear shift and launch control too but other than that wohat other features should I look for.
Any recomendations and personal experiences really to help me make my mind up.
Thanks.

ive used mbe and omex. i currently use omex as it seems a bit more advanced than the mbe stuff, especially the omex 600.
omex is easy to do basic things with yourself as well, and their technical support over the telephone is exellent. well priced stuff too.

I used the DTA, had no issues with it and found its software easy to use.
To be honest I dont their is much between them all, and would go for the one that your mapper is confident with, and that you can get the best deal on.

Jamie, as said before (and as miles said) go to who you want to do the work and ask what they like to work with....

i also looked at go-tech, which is unbeatable for the money! very high sped (as broster will tell you) but the downside is that the only people i know of that does it is jamsport. and when i enquired about it they didnt sell the mapping kit seperately.
so a long drive if i ever needed anything checking!

they wont sell the management unfitted or unmapped, however you can download the software off gotech's website. i have a copy of it on my laptop as it happens.
there are two places in the uk that do it.... cant remember where the second is!
its been fitted to a few cars now.... scooby, escorts, my corsa, a twin turbo jag....

Thanks for the advice. I have been advised to use whoever is best to fit and map regardless of distance. Going on what I have heard Jamsport is a top place to go so I might look into go-tech management a bit more.
I saw an Omex system in a Ford mag that seemed a reasonable price with a lot of features,

APT might be a good place to try as they run omex and have only done good things

Lauch control and full throttle shift are external components to the ignition system that can be bought. You don't need to have management that's capable of doing it...

ed, adds to the cost tho, if he wantst hem and is not prepared to pay extra for them then getting management that has it built in is a good choice.
