anyone had any probs with theres???
I've finally managed to get the repair guy out to fix/replace mine after 4 MONTHS of waiting 
It sometimes puts itself on standby, wipes the sky planner clean which is a total nightmare as it erases all the programmes you've recorded, now its says they're aint no satilite (sp) signal 
anyone else had these type of probs

switch it off and switch it back on , go into the signal menu and see what happens?

done that mate, was on the phone with the technical helpline guys for just over 30mins today and tried everything, just annoyed that its took me 4 months of complaining before they sent out a repair guy, they were quick enough in taking the money from me when I bought it

usual shite with sky eck.
used to work for them and they had probs with sky+ planners gettin wiped a lot. was sumat to do with the program the boxes were runnning..they needed upgraded but it hadnt been developed

My Sky+ box was recording a program while we were away, but didnt stop at the end and ended up recording over everything on the HD. Luckily, thats the only problem we had - apart from the menu sticks when they are doing local upgrades.

my sky + is a nightmare, the planner wount let you access it sometimes just says 'please wait'.

never had any problems like that. Although it sometimes when it records it skips the sound during playback for a few seconds.
If you want them out quicker tell them its a fault with the whole picture and wont let you order any movies or sports. They make a hell of alot of money with the extras so will be more motivated to come out to you. This is what we did at my gf's palce and come out 2 days after ringing and fixed it there and then!
